Prosecutors investigating the Itaewon disaster are raiding the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency today (18th).



The Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office sent prosecutors and investigators to the office of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency Commissioner Kim Gwang-ho (59) on the 9th floor of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Naeja-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul this morning to secure records related to work before and after the Itaewon disaster.



The prosecution is presenting a search and seizure warrant to the Public Relations Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and confiscating various business records.



Prosecutors are reinforcing the investigation into the charges of professional negligence and accidental death by Commissioner Kim, who was sent by the police special investigation headquarters (special version) on the 13th.



Those sent without detention included Seoul Metropolitan Government executives such as Ryu Mi-jin (51), former head of the personnel education department (superintendent) and former 112 situation 3 team leader (inspector) Jeong Dae-gyeong, who served as situation manager on the day of the disaster.



On the 10th, the prosecution also seized and searched the offices of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Public Safety Information and Foreign Affairs Department.
