The conflict between the two sides began in 2020, when the Sky72 contract was about to end.

Prior to the expiration of the contract, Incheon International Airport Corporation selected a follow-up operator through an open bidding method. However, as the Sky72 operator did not start construction of Incheon International Airport 5 runway on the golf course site until December 31, 2020, when the contract expired, the operator still had the right to operate it. claimed to have.

Incheon International Airport Corporation filed a lawsuit against the operating company, requesting the return of the land and transfer of ownership, and the ruling of the Supreme Court last month confirmed the Incheon International Airport Corporation's victory.

Nevertheless, the operating company is in a position that it cannot admit a follow-up operator until the results of the investigation come out, citing the situation in which the prosecution said that there were no problems such as corruption in the 2020 bidding process.

The claims of tenants who have moved into Sky72, such as convenience stores and restaurants, are also at odds with Incheon International Airport Corporation.

The successor operator said that he would succeed to the contract, but he is arguing that the right to live is threatened, saying that it is questionable whether the golf course will be stably operated.

Incheon City, which had delayed the procedure for canceling the registration of the golf course operator's sports facility business even after the Supreme Court ruling, announced today (17th) that it will go through the cancellation procedure after the enforcement.
