As the year-end tax settlement has begun in earnest, phishing emails impersonating the National Tax Service are being distributed, so special attention is required.

According to AhnLab today (17th), the email sent with the title 'Last Warning' informs recipients that their login password will expire on the day it is received, and to retain their password before their account is locked.

Then, they ask you to click on the URL that says 'Keep the same password' in the body of the email.

However, if you log in after clicking this URL, the email recipient's account information is leaked to the cyber attacker's server.

In particular, the e-mail has the sender address as 'hometaxadmin@hometax.go.kr', so it is disguised as an e-mail sent from the National Tax Service Home Tax to deceive the recipient during the year-end tax settlement season.

Previously, the National Tax Service opened the year-end tax settlement simplified service on the 15th and allowed workers to check and download simplified data from Home Tax.

AhnLab emphasized, "In order to deceive users, attackers disguise themselves as various companies and elaborately create them, so you should refrain from viewing mails sent from untrusted recipients."
