A woman in her 20s who set fire to the youth rental housing she lives in due to financial difficulties has been arrested by the police.



Seoul Jongam Police Station announced today (18th) that it is investigating a woman in her 20s without detention on charges of arson.



Mr. A is accused of setting fire to a 5-story youth rental house in Jongam-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul around 7 p.m.



Fire and smoke soared, and the fire department issued the first stage of the response, mobilizing all fire department personnel and equipment, and extinguished the fire within an hour.



Fortunately, no one was injured, but seven people in the same building, including Mr. A, evacuated to the roof or window railing and were rescued.



Immediately after being rescued by firefighting, Mr. A confessed, "I set fire to her because of financial problems."



The police arrested her Mr. A as her red-handed criminal and put her in her detention center for investigation.
