President Yoon Seok-yeol dismissed former lawmaker Na Gyeong-won from the vice chairman of the Low Birth Rate and Aging Society Committee and the climate ambassador, said Kim Eun-hye, chief public relations officer in the presidential office.



Chief Kim went on to explain that the successor to the low fertility committee was permanent member Kim Young-mi, and Seoul National University Law School professor Cho Hong-shik was appointed as the new ambassador for climate and environment.



Previously, after receiving criticism from the presidential office for proposing a debt relief policy at the time of childbirth, former lawmaker Na delivered her appreciation to President Kim Dae-ki, chief of staff, on the 10th.

On the 12th of last month, the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office indicted Lee on charges of leaving without handling the accident after ramming a motorcycle coming from the opposite side while driving a car near Chungjeongno Station in Seoul in July of last year.



The motorcycle was severely damaged in the accident, but the driver suffered minor injuries.



The Seoul Central District Court plans to conduct a trial by merging Lee's hit-and-run case and the charges of violating the passport law.
