This butcher shop was also caught one after another by crackdowns while selling foreign products as domestic products ahead of the holiday.

False indication of country of origin is punishable by imprisonment for up to 7 years or a fine of up to 100 million won, and non-indication of country of origin is subject to a fine of up to 10 million won.



Traditional markets, hypermarkets, and internet vendors are also subject to crackdown.



The Agricultural Products Quality Management Service plans to set a special intensive crackdown period before the Lunar New Year holiday and continue to crack down on violations of origin.
