Every year

Samsung

launches its most ambitious phones, the Galaxy S, in the month of February.

It is an appointment that usually arrives a few weeks before the

Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

, the largest mobile telephony fair, and that always raises the bar for what can be expected from the high-end of the year.

It is not the only event for the Korean company (its folding phones, in recent years, have been announced in August), but it is undoubtedly the one that marks the way forward, also for its competitors.

This year the appointment is on February 1 at the

Masonic Auditorium San Francisco

, but as usual it can also be followed through the web.

But one of the big surprises of the year has already leaked.

The German publication

WinFuture

has obtained the commercial images that the company will use to promote the Galaxy S23, the entry-level smartphone in this year's range.

The big change in the design of the new phone is that the plateau or island that the camera module created will disappear.

The objectives of the three cameras integrated into the mobile will stand out a bit, but each one independently.

The chassis seems to maintain the metal frame and glass back design of previous years and according to the leaked photos it will be available in four colors:

black, white, olive green and purple

.

As usual, the new phones are expected to come equipped with better cameras and this year everything points to Samsung using

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

processor in Europe instead of its own Exynos processors.

Two more phone models are expected to join the Galaxy S23 like last year, the S23+, with a larger screen, and the S23 Ultra, which will have a better camera and more advanced features.
