On YouTube, you have to be polite to avoid demonetization.

The online video platform would have indeed strengthened its tool for detecting inappropriate content, which would allow it to sanction videographers deemed too rude, reports BFMTV.

Beeps or even animal noises should therefore become more and more common.

Famous youtubers like Squeezie, Linca or Djilsi have already had to resort to this quickly boring subterfuge.

“Two years of demonetized videos”

But beware, this increased severity would not only apply to new videos.

The effect would be retroactive, warns the youtubeur Terracid.

"The demonetizations linked to content or swear words are the equivalent of more than two years of videos released demonetized", regretted the latter on Twitter.

Videographers must therefore rework their old content if they want to continue to make money from it.

For you to realize, between the abusive claims, the demonetizations related to the content or the swear words, it is the equivalent of more than 2 years of videos released demonetized.

Some denounce an excessive hunt for swear words and already note questionable decisions.

The streamer Aypierre thus believes to have been demonetized for the use of the words "Ricans" and "bled".

YouTube has not changed its rules but the development of its voice recognition tool does not make people happy.
