It's no surprise since it's been the same story for three years already: in 2022, TikTok was once again the most downloaded application in the world.

The Apptopia company recently released its annual ranking taking into account both Google Play and the App Store, reports Clubic.

With 672 million downloads over the year, the social network of the Chinese company Bytedance is comfortably ahead of its competitors belonging to Meta.

Instagram comes in 2nd position with 548 million downloads and WhatsApp messaging completes the podium (524 million).

For the 3rd year in a row, @TikTok was the most downloaded app across the globe.
