Lee Jae-myung, the representative of the Democratic Party, who attended the prosecution in relation to the 'Suspicion of donations to Seongnam FC', was investigated for nearly 12 hours and escaped from the Seongnam branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office a while ago.

Representative Lee Jae-myeong left the Seongnam branch today (10th) at around 10:30 pm and shook hands with about 20 lawmakers and officials who were waiting.

After meeting with reporters, he said, "The answer was decided anyway, so it was clear that (the prosecution) would prosecute, and I felt a lot of that in the course of the investigation."

He added, "The truth will eventually come out in court," adding, "There was no such thing as convincing even after looking at the various data presented (from the prosecution)."

In today's investigation, it is said that the prosecution and CEO Lee were in a tense confrontation over whether the key to the establishment of the charges was 'unjust solicitation' and 'relationship in exchange'.

Based on official documents obtained during the investigation, the prosecution found that Doosan Group, Naver, and Cha Medical Center made improper solicitations in connection with licensing issues while Lee was mayor of Seongnam, and in return, they were found to have provided 'sponsor money' to Seongnam FC, a third party. It is said that he asked if he had sent it.

Representative Lee is known to have confronted, saying that there was no improper solicitation in the first place, and that he had never requested a solicitation in exchange for administrative work such as licensing, and that the nature of the money was legitimate 'advertising expenses' rather than sponsorships from companies.

Currently, the prospect that there will be no additional summons investigation related to the Seongnam FC case is dominant.
