At around 10:30 last night, a Tesla electric vehicle running along National Highway No. 1 in Sojeong-myeon, Sejong-si caught fire and went out in about an hour and 20 minutes.



The electric car hit the center divider and collided with an oncoming SUV, which spread the fire throughout the vehicle.



In the accident, a male electric car driver in his 30s was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including second-degree burns on both legs and a broken ankle.



It is known that there is no danger to Mr. A's life.



Fire authorities estimate that the fire started from the electric car battery that was shocked in the first accident.



The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident, such as checking whether Mr. A was driving under the influence through blood sampling.

At around 10:20 last night, a fire broke out in a detached house in Sangseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do and was extinguished in 3 and a half hours.



A man in his 80s smelled burning and evacuated, and no one was hurt, but the fire department estimated 18 million won in property damage as all 66 square meters of the house were burned.
