One broker was additionally arrested in connection with the corruption in the military service with epilepsy.

It is known that at least 10 people have requested this broker, and it has been confirmed that all of the money handed over is over 100 million won.

Reporter Sohn Ki-jun reports.

Mr. Kim, who was requested for an arrest warrant for violating the Military Service Act, attended the interrogation of the suspect before his arrest.

Broker Kim, a former reserve major whose arrest warrant was dismissed last year, was requested this time as the investigation into corruption in the military service with epilepsy expanded.

[Mr. Kim/Military Service Broker: ((Allegations) Do you admit all?) I'm sorry.

(The warrant was re-claimed, how do you feel?) I'm sorry.]

In court, Mr. Kim admitted his charges but appealed for leniency, but the court issued a warrant saying that there was a risk of destroying evidence and escaping.

Prosecutors revealed that Kim arranged for 10 of his clients to evade military service by getting his clients falsely diagnosed with epilepsy, and received 110 million won in return.

The prosecution has been investigating Mr. Kim since November of last year, and it is known that he was introduced to methods related to military service evasion from broker Goo, a self-proclaimed 'god of military service' who was previously arrested and indicted.

Mr. Kim worked with Mr. Koo for 4 months from January 2020.

As if to prove this, traces of Mr. Kim's name are visible on the homepage operated by Mr. Gu.

After that, Mr. Kim became independent and went to a separate military service consulting, and the prosecution knows that there are at least 19 Mr. Kim's clients.

For this reason, the prosecution plans to confirm the size and identity of additional military service evaders against Mr. Kim, who has been secured.

However, Mr. Kim is known to be in the position that there are no celebrities such as professional sports players who were in charge of Mr. Koo among his clients.
