"The truck that was carrying the pigs got into an accident and the pigs spilled onto the road."

In Gangneung, Gangwon, a truck loaded with more than 100 pigs fell on its side and the pigs in the loading box roamed the road, and a video of a commotion was uploaded to the National Police Agency's YouTube belatedly, drawing attention from netizens.

According to the Gangwon Police Agency, on October 17th of last year, at around 10:10 am, a 10t truck heading to Jumunjin's breeding ground on a road in Daegi-ri, Wangsan-myeon, Gangneung-si lost its balance on a sharp curve and fell sideways.

After a brief 'thump', 130 pigs spilled from the truck loading dock started running around on the road.

Fortunately, the driver was not seriously injured, but no one was there to take care of the free-spirited pigs as he was forced to leave for hospital treatment.

As a result, villagers who witnessed the accident came forward and drove the pigs within a 100m section of the road to prevent them from leaving the center line.

Then, to the police who came after receiving the report, a resident left the scene, saying, "Immediately after the accident, the pigs were excited and ran wild, but now they have calmed down somewhat."

The police, who took over the baton to protect the pigs, started traffic management to prevent the pigs from interfering with vehicles, and took measures to prevent them from leaving the road.

In the meantime, the pigs took a nap on the road without hesitation or took curious steps outside the center line to avoid the eyes of the police.

After about four hours of commotion, a replacement transport vehicle arrived at the scene, and the pigs were able to safely head to their original destination.

Lieutenant Yoo Ho-yeon of the Western District Division said, "Since it was an unusual accident that is not often seen, citizens passing by the road at the time slowed down and took pictures or videos." .
