Today (3rd) at a temple in Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do, a large fire, presumably caused by arson, burned one building of the Daeungjeon Hall and was extinguished in 3 hours.

The police confirmed a scene of a man setting fire inside the temple through the temple closed-circuit TV and caught a man in his 50s after tracking them down.

] A temple in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, was engulfed in red flames.



Around 0:30 this morning, a big fire broke out at Gyeryongsa Temple in Gohyeon-dong, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.



The fire spread in an instant, burning one of the Daeungjeon buildings and other items in the temple, and was completely extinguished at around 4:00 in the morning.



Police confirmed the scene of a man setting fire through a closed-circuit TV installed inside the courthouse.



In the screen, a scene of a man carrying a white barrel and entering the courthouse and lighting the curtains with a lighter was included.



The police tracked the man as a likely arson suspect and caught a man in his 50s at a bar in Geoje City three hours after the fire broke out.



It is known that Mr. A is talking gibberish in a drunken state.



The police are investigating the reason for setting fire against Mr. A.
