KTX and SRT services were delayed from the afternoon to night yesterday (30th) due to a disruption in the electricity supply to the tracks, and some SRT trains are not running until now.
Yesterday at around 5:00 pm, electricity was cut off in the section between Cheonan Asan Station and Jije Station in Pyeongtaek, and the operation of SRT and KTX trains going up and down the Gyeongbu and Honam high-speed lines was delayed.
Until late last night, the operation of SRT and KTX trains was delayed by up to 2 hours.
It was confirmed that 45 SRT trains and 100 KTX trains were delayed from a minimum of 17 minutes to a maximum of 2 hours due to a problem with the upper line, and trains in both directions traveled on the lower line.
The restoration work was completed overnight, but some SRT trains were broken due to momentary overvoltage, and train service has been disrupted to this day.
