Today (29th) afternoon, a fire broke out on the overpass near the Bukuiwang IC of the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway, so far five people have died and about 30 others have been injured.
The fire has been put out, but the search operation is not over yet, so there is a possibility that more casualties will rise.

My place is around the North Uiwang IC of the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway.
A large fire was caught at around 3:20 pm, and a decision to complete the fire was made a little earlier at 4:10 pm.
The time of the accident was around 1:50 in the afternoon.
A truck running on the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway caught fire, and the fire moved to the soundproof tunnel.
So far, five people have died in the fire, and three others suffered serious injuries, including burns.
Thirty-four people inhaled smoke but were reported to have minor injuries.
They were taken to a nearby hospital and are receiving treatment.
The fire department issued the first stage of response at around 2:11 pm, about 20 minutes after receiving the report, and raised the level of response to the second stage about 10 minutes later.
According to the report video at the time of the accident, after the fire, dozens of meters of the highway along the soundproof tunnel were covered in flames and black smoke.

It is not yet known how many vehicles are still inside the tunnel.
As rescue operations progress, the number of casualties may increase.
Currently, both sides of the 2nd Gyeongin Expressway are controlled from Sammak IC to Bukuiwang IC.
