Former Star Mobility Chairman Kim Bong-hyeon, the main culprit of the Lime Incident, cut off his electronic bracelet and fled in Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province, just an hour and a half before the first trial.



Yesterday (29th), after 48 days of hiding, he was arrested by the prosecution on the 9th floor of an apartment in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, around 4 pm.



When the door was forcibly opened and the investigation team entered, former chairman Kim, who was alone, resisted fiercely by pouring out harsh words.

Bong-hyun's bail was canceled during the trial related to the Lime case, and during the arrest process, considerable commotion occurred, such as trying to escape through a veranda window.]



He is a key figure in the Lime incident, which caused damages of 1.6 trillion won, and was caught in five months after running away three years ago ahead of the arrest warrant review.



In the end, in May of last year, he was arrested and indicted for stealing about 100 billion won, including funds from Star Mobility and Suwon passengers, and providing money and entertainment to politicians and prosecutors.



In July of last year, he was released on bail on the condition that he wear a location tracking device and was tried without detention. When a heavy sentence was expected, he fled again with the help of relatives.



Prior to the escape, the prosecution, concerned about smugglers to China, requested an arrest warrant twice for other charges, but both were dismissed by the court.



Former Chairman Kim, who was caught, was imprisoned in the Southern Detention Center in Seoul.



With former Chairman Kim's new recruit secured, the court plans to resume the embezzlement trial on the 12th of next month.
