A suspect in his 30s who confessed to killing a taxi driver, hiding it in a closet, and killing and abandoning his cohabitant five months ago has been arrested.
The Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court issued an arrest warrant today (28th) for Mr. A in his 30s, who was charged with murder and abandonment of a corpse, saying, "There is a possibility of destroying evidence and fleeing."
Mr. A caused a collision with a taxi while driving drunk in Goyang at around 11:00 pm on the 20th. are accused.
Previously, in early August, he is also accused of killing C, a woman in her 50s who was the landlord and ex-girlfriend, at a house in Paju City and abandoned the body in Gongneungcheonbyeon, Paju City.
After the arrest of Mr. A, the police will intensively investigate the motive for the crime and the possibility of additional crimes.
In addition, a search is being conducted to find the body of Mr. C, centering around the Gongneungcheon area.
Whether or not to disclose Mr. A's identity is also discussed.
The Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency announced that it would hold a personal disclosure review committee on the 29th at the earliest to determine whether and the scope of A's identity disclosure.
