This was reported by the Ministry of Science and ICT of South Korea.
The device was launched on August 5 from Cape Canaveral in the United States.
It is noted that the device made three maneuvers to enter orbit, the last of which took place on December 26.
On December 27, data confirmed that the craft is currently orbiting the moon at 1.62 kilometers per second.
