Early today (28th), an unknown flight track was detected on our military radar.

Our fighter jets have made an emergency dispatch to Incheon and northern Gyeonggi.

First of all, it seems to be unrelated to North Korea, but there have been reports of residents surprised by the roar of fighter jets in the middle of the night.

Around 0:40 am this morning, reports were received by the police that the roaring sound of fighter jets could be heard in the metropolitan area, including Incheon and Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Surprised citizens responded to Internet communities and social media, such as "I woke up to a loud noise while sleeping" and "I thought there was a war".

A military official said that an unknown flight track was detected on our radar early this morning in the western frontier area, and several fighter jets from the Air Force were dispatched.

[Military official: There was an unknown wake, so it floated, but it was nothing.

There was no drone or enemy activity, so we concluded something else and ended the situation.]

First of all, our military believes that the unknown track this morning is not a trace of a North Korean drone.

However, it is not at a stage where we can be 100% sure what the object was captured by the radar, so we plan to conduct additional analysis by looking at the situation at the time of dispatch.

Citizens had to wipe out their surprised hearts once again this morning in a situation where they were already anxious after North Korea's drone provocation.
