Today (26th) at around 11:43 am, an Air Force KA-1 light attack aircraft crashed in Mukgye-ri, Hoengseong-eup, Hoengseong-gun, Gangwon-do.
According to the Air Force, the light attack aircraft belonging to the Wonju base crashed while taking off from the base.
Two pilots, A (27) and B (25), escaped safely and were transported by the fire authorities, and were reported to be in clear consciousness.
The light attack aircraft fell on the field around Mukgye-ri and did not lead to increased combustion.

No damage to private houses has been confirmed so far, and military authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The KA-1 was introduced in 2005 as a tactical control aircraft developed based on the KT-1 basic trainer.
It is 10.9m long, 10.3m wingspan and 3.7m high, armed with a 12.7mm cannon and 2.75in air-to-surface rockets.
It is used in CAS (Close Air Support) operations of the Air Force to support firepower to ground forces.
It has been about a month since a KF-16 fighter jet crashed in the sky about 20 km west of Wonju, Gangwon Province on the 20th.
