Broadcaster Amy, who was indicted for taking and dealing drugs after reentering the country after being forcibly deported after taking drugs, was sentenced to imprisonment.

The third division of the Supreme Court upheld the lower court sentenced to three years in prison for Amy, real name Yoonji Lee, who was charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Amy was handed over to trial on charges of buying methamphetamine, ketamine, and ecstasy five times over six months from February last year and administering methamphetamine six times between April and August.

In addition, at the end of August last year, he was arrested by police officers who were undercover while trying to buy drugs, and charges of attempted drug trafficking were also applied.

At the trial, Amy pleaded not guilty, saying, "I took part in the crime by assaulting and imprisoning an accomplice."

Amy, an American national, was punished twice for taking propofol in 2012 and taking zolpidem in 2014 and was forced to leave the country.

The propofol, zolpidem, and methamphetamine administered by Amy are also used for medical purposes, but are highly addictive, so they are classified as psychotropic drugs, a type of narcotic, and are subject to punishment if abused.

The accomplice, Mr. Oh, was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison.
