Suh Hoon, former head of the Blue House National Security Office, who was arrested and indicted for covering up the West Sea attack, has applied for bail to the court to be tried without detention.

Seo's side submitted a bail application yesterday (23rd) to the 25-2 part of the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Agreement (Dr. Park Jeong-je and Chief Judge Park Jeong-gil).

A date for the bail hearing has not yet been set.

Seo's first trial preparation date is scheduled for January 20 next year.

Seo was arrested on the 3rd of this month and handed over to trial on the 9th, six days later.

The defense team said in a statement immediately after the indictment, "The prosecution's indictment is an unreasonable action for fear of being released without hesitation."
