The atrocities of a man in his 40s who brutally murdered his adopted dog were revealed to the world as former dog owners noticed something strange.
On the 21st, the 1st Criminal Division (Chief Prosecutor Oh Se-moon) of the Gunsan Branch of the Jeonju Prosecutor's Office indicted A (41) without detention for violating the Animal Protection Act.
Mr. A is accused of abusing and killing 18 out of 21 dogs from October 2020 to the end of November last year, and injuring the other 3 dogs.
His body was dumped in the front yard of his residence.
Initially, it was investigated that he abused and killed a poodle he had raised with his wife, and then adopted dogs and repeatedly abused and killed them.
The methods of abuse were varied and brutal.
Feeding the dog with a large amount of water with a shower hose, giving the dog psychiatric medication, and spraying hot water on the dog caused burns.
It was confirmed that Mr. A, who worked for a public company, was transferred to the Jeonbuk region, and then moved back and forth between his company home in Gunsan and his home in Gyeonggi-do before adopting a small dog from all over the country to the company's home in Gunsan.
Mr. A said, “I lost it” when former dog owners asked about their dog, and when the former dog owners, who felt strange about this, reported suspicion of animal abuse, Mr. A was urgently arrested by the dispatched police.
As a result of the prosecution's investigation, it was revealed that Mr. A relieved the stress from the discord with his wife by abusing his dog.
Previously, the police searched the apartment complex where Mr. A lives and found 12 bodies of dogs abused in the front yard.
The other six have yet to be found.
