Banners asking for relief measures for damages from charter scams are attached to each household.

They are all victims of the same charter scam organization.

The police applied for arrest warrants for five people, including a builder in their 60s, on charges of holding 2,700 houses under borrowed names and stealing deposits from tenants.

Since March of last year, they have not been able to return the jeonse deposit due to mortgage interest and tax arrears, but rather raised the deposit by tens of millions of won and handed over the house to auction.

Only 327 victims were identified, and the damage amounted to over 26 billion won.

With real estate agents, they tricked the tenants, saying, "There is no need to worry because the landlord is wealthy," and wrote a memorandum of guarantee that had no effect.

[Nearby real estate agent: We have never received anything (private sale) about that building even though we are so close.

I did it through that particular broker.]

Then, he paid about 2 million won a month to the so-called 'pants rental business' and signed a contract in his name, and four managers supervised the process.

[Kim Sang-sik/Incheon Police Agency Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Investigation Chief 1: (The builder) gave instructions, and the other four people who applied for a warrant under him have a lot of other realtors or assistants.

I give them a general order again...

Police booked 46 accomplices, including a real estate agent and 'pants boss', and are expanding their investigation into additional complaints.
