“They offer various options for assistance, up to launching our cosmonauts on their ships, but there is no need for this today,” TASS quotes him with reference to the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

On December 15, Russian cosmonauts officially reported a leak from the cooling system of the Soyuz MS-22 due to damage to the ship's skin, as a result of which the air on board is heated.

Later, Roskosmos specialists determined the exact location of the damage to the instrument-aggregate compartment.

The head of the state corporation said that he would hope for a regular completion of the expedition of the Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft with a depressurized cooling system docked to the International Space Station.

Borisov also allowed for the possibility of sending the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft to the ISS in unmanned mode in order to return the Russian crew of the Soyuz MS-22.
