According to the Metropolitan Meteorological Administration, from 0:00 to 6:30 today, the amount of snow in the southern Gyeonggi region is 1.8 cm in Seongnam, 1.3 cm in Yangpyeong, 1 cm in Baekam in Yongin, 1 cm in Yeoju, and 0.7 cm in Suwon.



Currently, Gwangmyeong, Gwacheon, Ansan, Siheung, Bucheon, Gimpo, Dongducheon, Yeoncheon, Pocheon, Gapyeong, Goyang, Yangju, Uijeongbu, Paju, Suwon, Seongnam, Anyang, Guri, Namyangju, Gunpo, Uiwang, Hanam, Yongin, Icheon Heavy snow warnings have been issued in 27 cities and counties, including Yeoju, Gwangju, and Yangpyeong.



A mix of rain and snow is falling in some areas.



The lowest temperature in the morning ranges from minus 5 to 0 degrees.

Gyeonggi-do started the emergency phase 1 of the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters from 11:00 pm yesterday in preparation for freezing roads on the way to work due to cold waves and heavy snow.



In the first phase of the emergency system, a total of 15 people work in the road, railroad, and agriculture fields with the head of the Gyeonggi-do Natural Disaster Department in charge.



As a major countermeasure, 254 routes of border roads between cities and counties, 38 sections of main roads in the metropolitan area, and roads connecting sections managed by central ministries are intensively managed in consideration of snow cover conditions.



Snow removal agents are also sprayed on 465 areas of habitually frozen areas, such as roads in hills and roads in front of tunnels, and snow removal measures such as automatic salt spraying devices, road heaters, and snow removal boxes are being implemented.



In addition, the operation status of cold wave shelters (6,787 places) and cold wave reduction facilities (3,553 places) including heated chairs will be inspected, and guides will be provided to prevent water meters and water pipe facilities from freezing.



In the southern part of Gyeonggi-do, it is predicted that 2 to 8 cm of snow will fall until around 3 pm today and then stop.
