Yesterday (19th) at around 7:40 in the evening, there was an accident in which a car ran into a horse that had escaped from the riding area on a four-lane road in Yiin-myeon, Gongju-si, Chungcheongnam-do.
The Sportage, which was running in the same lane, collided with the horse in the first lane.
A man in his 60s who was in the passenger seat of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious wrist injuries in the accident.
A police official said, "We know that the serious injuries are not serious."
The other two people, including the driver, also suffered minor injuries from the impact at the time of the collision.
The horse died instantly at the scene of the accident.
The accident site was investigated to be about 500 meters away from the riding field where the horse escaped.
Previously, the fire department was looking for a horse after receiving a report that "a horse escaped from the riding ground" at around 7:07 pm, about 30 minutes before the accident.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
