How did you spend your snowy and cold weekend?

Today (17th), a lot of snow fell in the west coast area.

The weather gets colder overnight.

First, let's check the snow conditions.

I am a reporter in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do.

Reporter Kim Gwan-jin, the snow continues to blow.

Yes, I am at the plaza in front of Seosan City Hall in South Chungcheong Province.

As you can see, very thick snow is blowing.

When I arrived here, the snow removal work had been completed, but it snowed so much that the roads were covered with snow again.

Even the weather is cold, so I can hardly see people who go out.

Here in the Seosan area, a lot of snow of 10.5 cm fell today, and the snow was more intense in Jeonbuk and Jeju on the west coast.

18.1cm of snow accumulated in Imsil, Jeonbuk, 18cm in Gimje, Jeonbuk, and 20.1cm in Hallasan, Jeju.

More snow has fallen in Chungcheong, Honam, and Jeju, so heavy snow warnings are still in effect, and in particular, heavy snow warnings have been issued in Jeonbuk.

Flights to and from Gunsan and Jeju were canceled, and some sea routes were also controlled, disrupting sea and sky routes.

Yes, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicts that a lot of snow will fall again overnight in the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do and Jeonbuk, including Seosan-si.

Heavy snowfall is expected to continue on the west coast and Jeju Island until the day after tomorrow. A lot of snow of 5 to 15 cm will fall on the west coast of Chungcheongnam-do, Honam, and Jeju Island, and heavy snow of 20 to 50 cm will fall in the mountains of Jeju Island.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security announced that heavy snowfall would be concentrated between this evening and tomorrow morning, and asked local residents to refrain from going out and approaching vulnerable points of heavy snowfall to minimize damage.
