Oh Hyun-gyu, who accompanied the Qatar World Cup as a reserve member of Bentoho, received a reward of 60 million won.

The Korea Football Association announced that it plans to reward Oh Hyun-gyu with a total of 60 million won, including a base salary of 20 million won, 30 million won for winning against Portugal, and 10 million won for a draw against Uruguay.

Previously, coach Bento took Oh Hyun-kyu to Qatar in case of an emergency when Son Heung-min underwent surgery for an orbital fracture about 15 days before the opening of the World Cup.

Son Heung-min expressed his gratitude at the press conference on his return, saying that he was a player who played the most important role, such as a training partner.

An official from the association said, "It is not subject to compensation according to the rules, but as much as we suffered together, we decided to pay the same amount as the group stage reward."

The additional reward of 100 million won for advancing to the round of 16 will not be paid.

Oh Hyun-gyu said in an interview with a media earlier that the national team players collected their own money and gave them a reward.

An official from the association explained that Oh Hyun-kyu would not have known that he was receiving a bounty.
