What was the most searched word by Korean users?

Google Korea divided the search terms that Korean users paid the most attention to in Google search this year into nine categories, including general, news and society, and K-drama, and released the top 10 rankings.

In the general field, 'Climate Change' took first place, beating popular dramas such as 'Young Woo Woo, the Strange Lawyer' and 'World Cup 2022 Qatar'.

Not only has interest in the environment recently increased, but it seems to be influenced by the designation of Climate Change Week to mark the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day in April and various events.

In the category of people, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was killed in a sudden shooting and shocked Korea, ranked first, followed by President Yoon Seok-yeol and the late actor Kang Su-yeon.

In sports, Koreans' love for soccer was reaffirmed as many soccer-related search terms included "Qatar World Cup," "Tottenham v K-League 11," and "UEFA Champions League."
