The prosecution is investigating Democratic Party lawmaker Noh Woong-rae as a suspect this morning.

It is said that they are intensively investigating whether he exerted undue pressure on business or personnel related to Park in return for receiving money from businessman Park.

Prosecutors are looking at five cases in which Rep. Roh received money from businessman Park before and after the general election in April 2020.

In February 2020, at a restaurant near the National Assembly, Mr. Park, a businessman, asked to help with the power plant delivery business and received 20 million won. , is accused of receiving a total of 60 million won while being asked to request personnel related to Korea East-West Power executives.

On the 16th and 18th of last month, the prosecution, who searched and seized the National Assembly office and home of Rep. Roh, found a wad of cash worth about 300 million won in the house.

Rep. Roh appeared at the prosecution privately today and did not reveal a separate position, but at a press conference on the 17th of last month, immediately after the seizure and search, he defined it as "a political retaliation investigation conducted just because he was an opposition member" and said, "All political life is invested in the investigation of innocence." I will bet," he said.

Rep. Roh filed a quasi-appeal, an objection to the prosecution's search and seizure, to the Seoul Central District Court and is awaiting a court decision.
