Mr. A stated in court that "the message was not intended for blackmail," but the court did not accept Mr. A's claim.

The judge said, "Mr. A implied that he could continue to post on social media or post about Mr. B's relationship with the opposite sex in the future." It terrified the victims to the extent that it interfered with their freedom of decision-making and execution."

“Considering the fact that Mr. B remitted the money after talking to Mr. A on the phone, and Mr. A later asked Mr. B, “Did you send (a large amount) because you were afraid that you would not delete what I wrote?” He explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "It is fully acknowledged that he committed the crime with intention (intention to do it while knowing that the criminal result may occur) of extortion."

Meanwhile, the charge of defamation and insult under the Information and Communications Network Act was dismissed as Mr. B withdrew the complaint and expressed his intention not to be punished.
