The lottery first issued in 2002 celebrated its 20th anniversary.

In the meantime, close to 8,000 first-place winners have emerged.

According to the Lottery Committee of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, a total of 7,803 people won the first prize from the first lottery on December 7, 2002 to the 1,043 lottery on November 26 this year.

The total prize money they received was 15.9 trillion won, an average of 2.038 billion won per person.

There were times when only one first place came out and won a considerable amount of money, but there were times when dozens of first places poured in and the prize money per person was relatively small.

The largest prize per person was the 19th round in April 2003, and only one winner came out and won a whopping 40.7 billion won.

The round with the smallest prize money was the 546th round in May 2013.

With 30 first-place winners, the prize money per person was only 460 million won.
