An employee of a securities company who is suspected of helping a Woori Bank employee embezzle 70 billion won has been arrested.

Yesterday (30th), the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a securities company employee, after conducting a warrant review, saying that there was a risk of destroying evidence and fleeing.

Mr. A is accused of opening 11 securities accounts in borrowed names to Mr. Jeon, an employee of Woori Bank, and receiving about 100 million won in criminal proceeds.

The court dismissed the request for an arrest warrant for Jeon's family and acquaintances, who are accused of receiving criminal proceeds of more than 1 billion won from Mr. Jeon.
