It has been confirmed that Oh Young-soo (78), an actor who became famous for the movie 'Squid Game', was handed over to trial on charges of indecent assault.



According to the legal community today (25th), the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office (Chief Prosecutor Song Jeong-eun) indicted Mr. Oh without detention yesterday on charges of indecent assault.



Oh was accused of inappropriately touching a woman's body around mid-2017.



The police, who received the victim's complaint in December of last year, forwarded it with the opinion of prosecution in February, and then reviewed the witness investigation and lawyer's opinion at the request of the prosecution for a supplementary investigation, and finally sent it back in April.



Since then, the prosecution has been re-investigating the victim's objection.



During the prosecution's investigation, Oh was reported to have denied the allegations.



An elder actor, Mr. Oh appeared in the Netflix series 'Squid Game' as Oil Nam, who suffers from a brain tumor, and won the Best Supporting Actor Award in the TV category at the Golden Globe Awards in the United States in January this year.
