According to "Le Parisien", Samuel Paty lived his last days in fear, he knew he was threatened, his change of attitude as well as his research on the Internet attest to this.

According to the final report of the police officers of the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (Sdat), the director of the college of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, where the professor of geography history worked, had made several reports a few days before the tragedy.

The teacher asked his colleagues to take him home

Investigators found a hammer in the professor's backpack just after his murder.

According to them, no particular work that day justified the presence of this object on the teacher.

The threats received on social networks or from the father of a student made Samuel Paty anxious.

After his day's work, he types in a search engine the expression "what is a threat to public order".

He also consults the site of a criminal law firm and searches for “undermining the public peace”.

The teacher felt hunted and, in the days preceding his murder, asked two colleagues to drive him home.

An unusual request since he lived only two kilometers from the college in which he taught.

Samuel Paty was afraid, he was "wrapped up, hid his face, spoke very little during the journeys", confides one of his colleagues.

On October 16, 2020, the day of his assassination, Samuel Paty once again asked to be accompanied home at the end of the day, but his colleague's schedule did not allow him to do so.

He will be assassinated at 4:45 p.m., the hood screwed on his head, headphones in his ears.
