Jeong Jin-sang, head of the Political Coordination Office, the closest aide to Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung, for whom an arrest warrant was requested for receiving bribes worth billions of won from private businessmen in Daejang-dong, was arrested.

Seyong Kim, chief judge in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Chief Jung, saying that there is a risk of escaping and destroying evidence.

Previously, the Seoul Central District Court interrogated Chief Chung for 8 hours and 10 minutes from 2:00 pm to 10:10 pm yesterday (18th).

It is equivalent to the 8-hour and 40-minute interrogation of former President Park Geun-hye, which is considered "the longest in history."

As he came out of the interrogation, Chung said, "I acted diligently."

Chung is accused of receiving a bribe of 100 million won from former head of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, Dong-gyu Yoo, and of promising to jointly own 42.8 billion won of Cheonhwa-dong's shares owned by Man-bae Kim, a Daejang-dong operator, with Kim Yong, vice president of the Democratic Research Institute.
