According to Choi's judgment, he was sexually abusive several times while working as an academy instructor, including mentioning sexual relations to students in detail.



In the three years since November 2012, 19 children have been victimized.



In addition to 1 year in prison, 2 years of probation, and 3 years of employment restrictions at organizations related to children and adolescents, they must not work in those organizations until this year.



When he asked the head of the academy why he had hired him, he only said that Mr. Choi was his younger brother, but did not answer any further.



At a boarding school in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, a person who was punished for running a prostitution shop worked as a facility manager for three years.



Hagwons are required to check child abuse and sexual assault histories when hiring staff.



However, it is often the case that only 'instructors' who are required to register with the school district are searched, and other employees who are not obligated to register are often left out.



From 2018 to last June, 1,657 academies were caught for failing to check the history of sexual and child abuse crimes.



Only 61 sex offenders have been caught working at academies for the past four years.
