It is known that the Presidential Archives is considering entrusting the two Pungsan dogs returned to the government after being raised by former President Moon Jae-in to local governments.

Today (10th), according to the Woochi Park Management Office, a branch of Gwangju City, the Presidential Archives inquired over the phone whether it was possible to raise 'Gomi' and 'Songgang' at the Uchi Zoo on the 8th.

Uchi Zoo received and managed the Pungsan dog 'Star' on August 30, 2019.

Star is a female born between Gom-i (female) and Song Kang (male), a gift from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un after the inter-Korean summit in September 2018.

The six babies Gomi and Song Kang gave birth to were sent to four local governments including Gwangju, Seoul, Incheon, and Daejeon.

According to the Uchi Park management office, each local government that raises these Pungsan dogs in the Presidential Archives asked about the intention of breeding Gom-i and Song-gang.

If you take charge of breeding at the Uchi Zoo, it seems that unlike Byeol-yi, which is in the form of sale, Gom-yi and Songgang, which are presidential records, will be handed over in the form of rental.

In the case of sale, the ownership is transferred, but in the case of rental, the ownership remains in the Presidential Archives.

In addition to the burden of management, the Uchi Park management office is not able to decide whether to breed Poongsan dogs in a situation where they are recognized as a target of a political battle.

An official from the Uchi Park management office said, "We can expect an increase in the number of visitors, but it is burdensome because there is a possibility that a theory of responsibility may arise if management is neglected."
