"A priori, neither the origin nor the religious practice of the suspect are at stake", the two young people maintained or had maintained a relationship, specified one of the police sources.

According to a source close to the investigation, the 19-year-old victim had called his father indicating that he was going to his boyfriend's home to pick up some belongings.

Without news, her father had called her back to find the young man, who had told him that he had killed his daughter.

When the police arrived, the alleged perpetrator opened the door stained with blood, according to the same source.

Warned by the police, the firefighters tried to resuscitate the victim, but could only confirm his death, they said.
