A driver who did not clear the way for an ambulance that was transporting an emergency patient was sent to the prosecution.

According to the YouTube channel 'Han Moon-cheol TV' yesterday (9th), on the 2nd, driver A was sent to the prosecution on charges of violating the Emergency Medical Act.

Driver A is accused of obstructing the transport of emergency patients by blocking the way of an ambulance for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds on a two-lane road in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul around 8 pm on the 3rd of September.

If you look at the video uploaded to the channel, the ambulance that was running in the round-trip lane while sounding the siren falls into a one-way, two-lane road.

Vehicles on the road at the time received a stop sign and stopped, then heard the ambulance siren and moved to the edge to make room for the ambulance.

However, the black car in front of the ambulance does not move.

The ambulance driver in a hurry turns on the loudspeaker, says the license plate number, and asks, "Go to the right," but the black car does not budge.

The ambulance driver hurriedly explains again, "If you don't get out, you'll be fined for negligence."

Eventually, after the stop sign was over, the black car flashed a right turn and disappeared, and the emergency vehicle was able to move, but the emergency patient wasted about 2 minutes and 30 seconds on the road.

After that, the ambulance driver reported Mr. A, and the prosecution reported that Mr. A had violated Article 12 of the Emergency Medical Act.

According to Article 12 (Prohibition of Interference with Emergency Medical Services, etc.) of the Emergency Medical Services Act, a person who obstructs the rescue, transport, emergency treatment, or medical treatment of emergency patients such as an ambulance by violence, intimidation, deceit, force or other means shall be punished by imprisonment for not more than 5 years. It is punishable by imprisonment or a fine not exceeding 50 million won.

Netizens who saw this responded, "If your family was in an ambulance, would you be able to act like this?", "It's surprising that there are still people like that", and "It's beyond common sense."
