At just 22 years old,

Begoña Vargas

(Bego, as she likes to be called) is today one of the most sought-after actresses on the national scene at the moment.

In the last two years she has been seen in successful blockbusters such as

Welcome to Eden

, a Netflix series released this year where she shares a cast with Ana Mena and Amaia Salamanca;

she in the feature film

Centauro

(2022) by Daniel Calparsoro, in which she stars alongside Àlex Monner and Carlos Bardem, or in the second season of

Paraíso

, the Movistar + series where she plays the main character.

The last thing that the young actress from Madrid has in her hands is

the filming of

Berlin

, the prequel to

La Casa de Papel

,

the worldwide phenomenon of Netflix, in which she stars alongside Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Julio Peña and Joel Sánchez.

Recently, she has also begun to combine her work as an actress with

forays into the world of fashion and beauty

.

Since last summer, Bego has been

Givenchy 's new cosmetics and fragrance ambassador and for several weeks, she has also been the image of the

Springfield

fashion brand

.

Self-proclaimed "zero conformist at a professional level", but aware of how lucky she is, the young actress from Madrid tells us with the self-confidence and self-confidence that characterize her how she leads her busy and busy work and social life and how she faces her ( promising) future.

Would you like to introduce yourself more in the world of fashion?

I have always liked it, even when I was very little I already chose my clothes.

It is for me a way of expressing myself and reflecting how I feel every day: if you wear more black,

oversize

... and what better way to get paid for doing something you love.

In this case with Springfield, which has marked my adolescence, I help to publicize its

Nice to Mix You

multi-brand concept , with more than 60 signatures.

But, despite the fact that I am very interested, I see the world of fashion as something complementary to my work.

In the end, what I like the most is being an actress. What are your favorite brands? Of those introduced by

Nice to Mix

You

from Springfield, I really like High Spirits, with a more rogue vibe, and especially Calvin Klein.

It's super me!

With so many open professional fronts, how do you organize yourself? It's complicated, because I'm also a non-conformist person at work.

I am always looking for a way to make everything work better and for me to be calmer, more organized.

Now that I have much more work than I did years ago and I have thousands of things around me, I try to find harmony with everything.

But, fundamentally, be calm, because this profession is beautiful and wonderful, but you have no life.

I'm looking for a way to have a life... to be able to go to doctors, to a psychologist, and not go everywhere like crazy like I've always done.

I also try to calm my anxiety, because they call me for many things.

I'm, for example, filming and I turn off my mobile for a few hours and, when I turn it on, I have 200,000 things that I have to solve. When accepting projects,

do you take advice?

I am surrounded by a team that I trust, but the last decision is always mine.

In the end, I trust my intuition a lot, it's my job, my life and I'm the one who's going to have to defend things, so I listen to opinions but in the end I do what I believe.

And so far it hasn't gone bad.

There are many people around me who sometimes disagree with what I do, but in the end I prefer to be the one who is wrong.

And I say to myself: "Bego, you screwed up, next time you won't do it like that".

It is my responsibility and not anyone else's.

I let myself be advised, but then I do what I think. You've started shooting 'Berlin', the prequel to 'Money Heist', is the challenge intimidating considering the worldwide repercussion of the series? When we started rehearsals, the directors told us: "guys,

Now I am enjoying what I have.

They have offered me things abroad at an international level, but I feel that I still have many things to do in my country, people live very well here, I love Spain.

I would like to go abroad, but always with a return to Madrid.

The Madrid of...

The young actress emphasizes her love for her city on several occasions: "I am in love with Madrid and, now that I travel more and more, I see wonderful places, but since you live in Madrid there is nowhere. You arrive late on your trip at 11 at night and you always have a cool place to have dinner... It's true that there is a lot of pollution and I would love it if bikes were used more here, like in Paris for example".

Begoña Vargas grew up in the town of Loeches, but now lives in the center of the capital (she prefers not to say where).

"I became independent when I was 16 years old and I came to the center for comfort, because there is everything. Maybe, when I am older and have my own family, I will go to the outskirts, but for now I have all kinds of stores under my house and supermarkets that make my life more comfortable.

A place to walk:

"I have many. I wander around the city a lot because, in the end, it's the most practical thing. I find everything nearby and I walk everywhere. I love the neighborhoods of La Latina, Malasaña... es Recoletos and the Barrio de las Letras fascinate me".

A monument to upload to Instagram:

"Apart from, of course, the typical Cibeles, Callao and the Schweppes building, my favorite square to photograph is

Colón

, with the sculpture [

Julia

, by Jaume Plensa] of the giant head I don't know who he is."

Restaurants

: "My favorite

hobby

is eating. I love

Casa Macareno

(San Vicente Ferrer, 44; tel.: 911 66 09 21), in Malasaña. It is typical traditional food, like scrambled eggs with shrimp, and it has incredible things. I am happy when I go there. My favorite potato omelette is the one from

Juana la Loca (Pl. de Puerta de Moros, 4; tel.: 913 64 05 25). It's the best in Madrid. Then the

80-degree

chain is really cool

,

because I love to snack on everything and they give you small portions of everything there. Another Japanese food favorite that I love is

Umiko

(Calle de los Madrazo, 6; tel.: 914 93 87 06), a bit expensive, but it has the best sushi and ramen that I have eaten".

A coffee: "

The top,

La Manuela

(San Vicente Ferrer, 29; tel.: 915 31 70 37)".

A nightclub

: "In the world of nightclubs I've been a bit lost since Covid, because everything has changed, but lately we go to the

Cocó

room (Alcalá, 20). But the one I really like is

La Riviera

(P.º Bajo de la Virgen del Puerto, s/n). One of my favorite plans in the world: eat and then go to a concert there".

Getaway outside the city:

"I don't have much time to get away, but I really like hiking. I used to do it with my father when I was little, but now I can't and, besides, none of my friends want to go with me. I would love to climb; I know there are roads through the Sierra, I'm going to see if I can find three or four colleagues who are cool and I'll go with them.
