An ultra-light vehicle (drone) that was flying crashed on the roof of a factory and caught fire.

According to the Gwangju Fire Department, a drone crashed on the roof of a factory building in Wolchul-dong, Buk-gu around 3:15 pm on the 27th, causing a fire.

There were no casualties in the fire, but a part of the roof wall was burned, causing property damage of about 3.5 million won.

The fire was extinguished on its own in about 10 minutes using a fire extinguisher by a factory official.

It is known that the drone took off from a drone practice range near the factory and crashed with damage to its wing while flying.

Fire officials have determined that the fire started when the battery mounted on the crashed drone exploded.

The fire department has extinguished itself and returned home after completing safety measures as the parties agreed.
