A bad day for Meta.
This Tuesday, in parallel with a massive outage on WhatsApp, a bug also affected the Instagram application, and in particular the operation of stories, reports
Phonandroid
.
Many users of the social network identified a problem with the visibility of stories at the end of the morning.
These apparently paraded very quickly, leaving no time for Internet users to see them properly, to react to them or to respond to them.
Already a breakdown at the beginning of October
Clearing the cache or reinstalling the app didn't seem to fix the problem.
That said, the bug affected a relatively small number of users and resolved itself within hours.
Other app features like Posts, Reels, and Messages worked great.
Instagram, which had already been affected by a major outage on iOS in early October, did not communicate about this bug, specifies
Phonandroid
.
No doubt the employees of the Meta group were already busy fixing the global problem of sending messages which paralyzed WhatsApp for several hours at the same time.
This bug was also fixed during the day and Meta apologized to users.
