New equipment and antennas against white zones in Aveyron

A new 4G site was inaugurated in Salles-Curan (Aveyron) on Friday.

As part of this system, the State and the Electronic Communications and Postal Regulatory Authority (Arcep) have thus committed to accelerating the deployment of 4G throughout the country.

The four French telephone operators, Orange, Bouygues Télécoms, Free and SFR, are also involved.

Thus, in Aveyron, 882 antennas are now equipped with 4G technology.

The department has a total of 925. The remaining forty sites should benefit from the arrival of this network by the end of the year.

Some relays simply switched from 3G to 4G, but others were built with the aim of limiting the surface of the white zones.
