While a heavy snow advisory has been issued in the mountainous regions of northern Gangwon, the climb to Seoraksan Mountain, where 12 cm of snow fell, was controlled.
According to the Seoraksan National Park Office, as of today (24th) at 8:10 a.m., a heavy snow advisory was issued in the northern mountains of Gangwon, and entry into highlands such as Daecheongbong is being controlled.
In Seoraksan, the lowest temperature near the Jungcheong Shelter fell to minus 3.4 degrees around 6 am today.
As of 12 noon, the snowfall amounted to about 12 cm.
An official from the park office said, "Seoraksan Mountain has now entered winter in earnest."
