I pre-subscribed for an apartment with a view of the sea, but a report came in that the construction company had changed the layout of the apartment building without a word.

Reporter Jo Yoon-ha checked what happened.

<Reporter>

Mr. A, who won the pre-order for an apartment to be built in Yeongjong International City, Incheon.

She applied for 84 sqm, the best chance of getting a house with an ocean view.

By the way, I recently heard from other applicants that the layout of the apartment has changed.

[Mr. A / Winner of advance subscription: At first I thought that this could be the construction company's mistake.

The layout must have come out wrong...

.]

I checked with the permitting authority and it was true.

The rear building, which has the largest floor plan and is expensive, comes out with a front seat overlooking the sea, and the sea view building has been relocated to the rear.

Although construction has not started yet, it is a site where 1,000 apartment units will be built in 2027.

The place where I live is the ocean view that corresponds to the front building in terms of the layout of the building.

However, Mr. A is now more likely to get a house that faces the wall of the building, not this house with a sea view.

[Mr. A/Prior subscription winner: (in advance) I have not received any remarks.

Wouldn't it be possible to have such a view where all directions are blocked?

If I had known that this would change, I wouldn't have put it in 84 square meters, and I probably wouldn't have put it in this apartment as well.]

The other winners reacted, saying they almost made the main subscription without knowing it.

[Mr. B/Winner of pre-subscription: The construction company thought it was a fish they had already caught, so it was changed arbitrarily.

I couldn't sleep that night because I thought this was really deceptive.]

When I asked the construction company for a position, they replied that there was no legal problem, as the license had not been issued yet.

He said that the layout was changed to secure the distance between the building and the aesthetics, and that the existing complex layout could be changed, he said, and there is no plan to compensate for damage.

[Kim Ye-rim / Attorney: Even if it is a pre-order, you have the right to make the main subscription right away, so I think it should be seen that if it was announced, it would lead to the contents of the sale contract.

It is possible to file a claim for damages (likely.)]

It seems necessary to establish a clear standard of how far the construction company can modify the contents after the pre-subscription.
