It was confirmed that Kim Geun-sik, who was sentenced to prison for raping 11 minors, and was arrested again on charges of sex crimes before being released from prison, has requested a court judgment of inappropriateness of detention, saying that his re-detention was unreasonable.

In the midst of this, another victim's counseling call was received by the police saying that he had been sexually harassed by Kim Geun-sik in the past.

One day before his release, Kim Geun-sik, who had been arrested for another sexual offense in the past, filed a request to the court to determine whether his re-detention was appropriate.

Previously, the prosecution requested an arrest warrant again after confirming the additional crimes of Kim Geun-sik in 2006, 16 years ago.

Kim Geun-sik was expected to face investigation and trial without being released for at least the six-month period of detention.

The court is scheduled to review Kim Geun-sik's request for detention at 2 pm today (19th).

While Kim Geun-sik argued that the re-detention was unfair, additional crimes were raised.

It was found that a woman inquired about the procedure of filing a complaint with the police that she had been sexually harassed 20 years ago by a person believed to be Kim Geun-sik.

She did not disclose specific details of the woman's harm.

The police said that an official report has not yet been received, but for the first time, the statute of limitations has expired for the charge of sexual harassment, and it is judged that punishment will be difficult.
