It was revealed that the Ministry of Health and Welfare pushed ahead with the opening of the new welfare information system, which had many errors last month, even though it recognized that the development situation was insufficient four days before the opening.

According to data submitted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to the Office of Health and Welfare Committee Kang Seon-woo of the National Assembly, the Ministry of Health and Welfare sent a warning notice to the developer on the 2nd of last month.

In the official document, he wrote, "We are about to sign a contract and prepare for the full opening of the next-generation system." However, he wrote, "The development is insufficient, and preparations for opening are very concerned due to non-participation of the meeting and the departure of key personnel before the opening."

He also predicted the problem caused by an error in effect, saying, "If the function is insufficient and there is a disruption in the business process after the opening, it can cause serious inconvenience to the public."

The Ministry of Health and Welfare is reviewing compensation for damages to the people who have suffered damage, and in terms of responsibility and cost sharing, the developer has also begun to review legal action, including lawsuits.
